Hey Tina!
Toddler twins...wow.
Mine are almost 3 and 17 mos...busy times.
My father just went through a couple years of liver issues and ultimately got a transplant last Christmas...one of the lucky ones.
But iron surpluses and liver function have taken several from his, and my grandparents, generation, so wanting to see what i can do to be proactive!!
My sister was diagnosed with hypothyroid several years ago, and has mainly kept it in check through diet and removal of some foods - mainly wheat and dairy. (Funny enough, she has 4 kids too and her symptoms would disappear during pregnancy and breastfeeding!!)
Anyhow, I am not too familiar with any of these...just getting some adhoc advice my word-of-mouth!
Our bodies "are the temple of the Holy Spirit.
Learning the truth about nutrition is my goal. I distrust what the "experts" say about what is healthy and nutritious. I believe that we absolutely must pray for wisdom and understanding from God in order to discern truth. Then we need to study and learn all we can and we need to “not be hearers only but doers”. We need to “submit our bodies a living sacrifice to God”, not imitate those who's “stomachs are their gods”!!!
I am doing an experiment right now testing the validity of Calorie input vs. output and its effect on weight loss. My hypothesis is that calories have little to nothing to due with weight loss and probably weight gain as well!
About Me:
I am a wife and mother. I stay at home and care for my family. My purpose in life is to bless those around me in numerous ways, including bettering their present and future quality of life through better nutrition and better treatments for medical problems!!!
I love to learn and have discussions, particularly about nutrition and alternative medicine and treatments!
